After a week-long trial and two days of deliberation, a jury found Derrick Feidler (37) guilty of involuntary manslaughter on June 29, 2022. The case proceeded to a second trial after Judge Daniel J. Brabender declared a mistrial due to a deadlocked jury in April of 2021. The case stemmed from a November 2019 shooting where Feidler obtained a rifle and shot the victim, Jose Arenas, through the heart, killing him, after an altercation. First ADA Jessica Reger and ADA Molly Anglin represented the Commonwealth. Sentencing is currently scheduled for August 15, 2022.
