Hail Ali appeared before the Honorable Judge David G. Ridge the morning of July 7, 2022 for sentencing after being found guilty in May of attempted homicide. Ali was sentenced to just over 19 years – 38 years of incarceration for the attempted homicide and 2 – 4 years of incarceration for possessing instruments of crime. Judge Ridge ordered that the two sentences run consecutive to one another resulting in an aggregate sentence of just over 21- 42 years of jail time.

At sentencing, Judge Ridge and Jessica Reger, who represented the Commonwealth, commented on the coldness of the crime and the massive impact the crime had on the victim.
