Jury Finds Erie Man Guilty of Arson
George Adams (43) was convicted of seven of nine charges after a two-day trial including Arson Endangering Persons (F1), two counts of Aggravated Arson (F1), Arson Endangering Property (F2), Risking Catastrophe (F3), Criminal Mischief (F3), and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2) for intentionally setting a fire at the residence he was renting on East Lake Rd. on June 12, 2021. Two firemen sustained injuries during the incident. The case was prosecuted by ADA Nicholas Maskrey and ADA Charles Cantrell. Sentencing is currently scheduled for September 6, 2022.
