Erie Man Sentenced to 12-30 years Incarceration for Attempted Homicide

On August 3, 2022, Darrrell Sparks (34) entered a guilty plea to one count of Attempted Homicide before the Honorable Judge John J. Mead for stabbing a woman multiple times in December of 2020. Multiple witnesses observed the attack and DNA matching Sparks was found on the knife used. Judge Mead proceeded immediately to sentencing, during which a letter from the victim was read. Sparks was sentenced to 12-30 years of incarceration followed by 3 years of probation.
