Erie Man Found Guilty of Attempted Homicide

Sean Knox Jr. (18) of Erie was found guilty of all charges that were submitted to the jury, including attempted homicide and 17 counts of recklessly endangering another person after a three-day trial. The jury deliberated for about 3 hours before reaching the conclusion that Knox opened fire on 17 people at a child's birthday party near the 1900 block of Thompson Street in Erie. The crowd included four young children and a baby. The Commonwealth, represented by Jeremy Lightner and Tayler Moses, presented video and ballistic evidence to link Knox to the shooting.

Sentencing is set for February 16, 2023, before the Honorable Judge Daniel J. Brabender Jr.
