Tips from the public lead to suspect identification and arrest. On January 26, 2023, Erie County Detectives charged PRESTON DEVENNEY with Theft by Deception - False Impression, Perjury and Dealing in Proceeds of Unlawful Activities.
The Erie County Detectives conducted an investigation into the 2021 Great Lakes Jeep Jam event on July 17, 2021, sponsored by Gears and Grub. The grand prize was a new Jeep.
